Christian's at 24 weeks :)

Christian is now 24 weeks old! What a milestone!

What is he up to now :

PHYSICAL
Rolling himself around the hall to get around .. like a beer barrel :P
Try pushing himself up to sit when layed down... kinda able to do it!
Sitted up and grab for toys or rather anything around him with very minimal help (can sit for 10 mins on his own)
Sit on Che-Che Kiersten's bicycle with hands on handle ... He loves the cruise and push .. (OBVIOUSLY with Yeh-Yeh's very visionary help!)
Kicking in mid air when lying down ... (not so sure if he is into football when he is older ... pfft .. dada & I are definitely not keen on this)Kicking and splashing while bathing ... LOVE swimming (will scream and kick when taken out from tub ... like a slaughter house)
Wanna constantly stand up and walk around ... (Aiyah mana boleh ... can't even crawl yet boy ... one step at a time ... patience is virtue)

FOOD
Started on solid since weekend ... he loves his puree .. Carrot Puree!
*Finished a bowl on first attempt. Since it is only his first week on solid, we are monitoring on food elergy, in case.
Well, it will be a long journey. Just like Kiersten, she is only served home-cooked-food and nothing goes in if it is not fresh and home-made. We kinda only allow her to eat out more often recently and she is at 34 months old! A foodlog journal is what it takes! Kiersten has 3 Journals so far ... and still going ... The journal will also be a good source to track down on food source if a diarrhoe happens.
*Advice to ALL mothers : Do NOT attempt to carry them to feed. You will be doomed once you start on it! Christian is sitted well and buckled on a high-chair. Of course he was unhappy and all in the beginning ... but he realized he will have NO choice.
If you don't give in ... you will WIN! Experience thought us so .. NEVER EVER GIVE IN ... NO MATTER HOW SAD OR PITTIFUL ARE THEIR CRIES! (Well, i am not promoting 'cruelty' ... if you think likewise ... definitely not)

LANGUAGE
Pooping session - When we poop him on a potty and start chanting hmm..hmmmm..hmm..hmmm , at each interval, he will do the same himself ... hmm..hmmm..hmm..hmmm .. cute :) I can't stop giggling the first time i heard him doing so ... but yet tried not to giggle too much or else he will get disrupted.
Saying 'Good morning Christian' - he will look at you innocently with his big round eyes looking into yours and coo softly .. Nrrggg
Saying 'Good bye Christian' with hands waving at him - he will excitedly bump his bum-bum (if he is sitted up) and scream loudly .. Aarrr ...Aaaarrrrrr ... and if you keep repeating the good-byes .. the AAAAaaaaRRRRRR gets longer and louder ... his way of getting your attention
When No one is around to layan him - a big feat of AAAArrrrrggghhhh-ing and screaming like a slaughter-house :P

Kiersten's Drawing

What does it resemble?
Her version of stick man :)
Those spikes that you see on the head ... are hair.
There's actually a pair of earring by the side of the head ... just not distinctive i guess :P
Those long wavy lines from the head are the limbs.
And the little round shape next to the figurine .... a BALOON ...

Simple minded ...

Mooncake making ... it's Kiersten's 1st! YUMMIE!!!

Well it is kinda vert post Moon cake festival ... but WTH ...
It was kinda easy making it ... well maybe coz the teachers had already prepared all the ingredient.
Here are the steps:
Step 1: All they need to do is just to squeeze .. squeeze ... and more squeezing ....... on the dough.
Step 2: And then place the filling into the dough
Step 3: wrap it
Step 4: Pounce the unshape moon cake into the mould
Step 5: Knock-knock the mould to ease the moon cake out ...
TA-DA ... Moon Cake is ready!
Before eating, just keep it chill in the fridge for a moment and then enjoy it over a cuppa tea :)

Easy right? Easy as A,B,C ..!

Hilton .. Breast Milk Storage Service

Hilton offers Breast Milk Storage service. I was in awed when i was told ... (i was already planning the entire script in my mind until they told me so ... sweet and thoughtfu. Thumbs up to Hilton!
It was great to know that such service actually existed :) It is always a headache whenever Chris and i plan for a getaway ... common FAQ from me to him would be ... (poor Chris .. thank goodness he have the patience of Niles, long and deep)

Do they have a Fridge? (not the typical cooler in the room okay ... those temperature can't even chil a KitKat)
Who should i ask in the hotel?
Should i even ask before we do the booking?
How long will we be away? (need to do an inventory check back home)
Do you think they are going to store the milk in the common kitchen with the rest of the meat, vege, etc? (Oh no.. if they are then tak boleh lar ...) The milk have to be stored in an ULTRA cold frideg/freezer preferably and ULTRA clean (well, they usually store the milk with vege or pastry though .. after i constantly ask and tell them my concern .. like a thousand times ...am sure they understand. That's why ask a woman which you gauge is a mom :)
Etc.. Etc .. Etc ...

After getting those common FAQ sorted out ...

Then comes the packing of ALL the containers, breast pump (i take along both my MEdela Mini electric pump & Avent manual pump .. in case of any circumstances), washing detergent, plan for steril method (no matter where & how, all equipments must be steriled and it depends on places we are going to).

Now, at last comes the real packing of clothes ... which takes only quarter of the time :)

Christian .. 17 weeks old!

Can you imagine ... time flies! Christian is now at 17 weeks old and weighing approximately 7.5kg. He is now having so much fun at his gym mat. Cooing away, interacting with people (if no one is 'layaning' him, he will also scream for attention), enjoying his daily park stroll, arguing (screaming contest) with Kiersten jie jie. And of course he can now turn on his tummy! But i guess he must have needed lots of strength and courage to do so coz, on each try he will be screaming his lungs out like letting the whole 'kampung' knows what he is up to :P And the funniest is when he turn on his back again, he will be gasping :)

My Birthday Makan-Makan!

As you can see, both my eating partners ... definitely count on them in this. They definitely CAN set the record and this is proven with their previous eating CV :P
Mine me ... my petite best friend can eat better than Chris!

We had 5 dishes of yummo food at Elcerdo ... and they almost STOP us from ordering on our 3rd! Reason being, we will DEFINITELY NOT BE ABLE TO FINISH the food! WHAT????!!! Sorry babe, we proved them WROOOONNNGGGG!!!
Yup, on our 4th dish, we decided to have anothe order of 'suckling piggy'. And i get the honour of chop-chop it up with a plate .. ala the Spanish tradision.

After the chop-chop .. 'break' the plate into the bucket for a WISH! Of course you are given to choose between LOVE or $$$. Chris was shouting for $$$ of course ... but me choose LOVE!
Aaaarrrggggg .... chom-chom-chom!

Kiersten in 'Sam Fu'

This is definitely NOT one of the creative fashion choice in Kiersten's usual wardrobe. It is for Merdeka celebration in her school. All the kids are requested to wear a national costume to school last week for the post celebration. Well, parents were not told of how the celebration gonna be like even as much as i am interested ... no time to ask also. I saw some privileged mum ('siu-lai-lai') standing around the school with their canggih DSLR, guess they don't have a clue too but of course time to wait-n-see. The common ritual of me is to walk her into class, hug, kiss, and good-bye. And of course be notified by the school's buletin of what's up and coming. Definitely gotta work harder on this if i wanna be included in the PTA.
Do you think i can???
