Breastfeeding (Breast Pump HORROR)
PUREEN battery Operated Breast Pump
I have not done any research when we bought the first breast pump.
We saw it in Babyland while it was on SALE. See the catch... on SALE. Besides, we thought it was convenient and portable. BUT... i almost LOST my N......... for that lor.
It is NOT working like how it should be.
It does NOT massage the breast to help stimulate the production.
It does NOT suck the milk but instead SQUEEZE on to the N....... only. (For frequent use, it will make you bleed, yeah, literally Bleed.. bleed. Blood coming out instead of milk)
Can you imagine the fright and trauma each time when it comes to mooing.
The maker and distributor ought to be persecuted for that.
Why NOT? This will definitely hinder breastfeeding to mothers who intended to do so. It is such a sad scenario to babies if it is due to the NEGLIGENCE of the maker. I've inquired my friends with the same pump. They too had the horrifying experience and yup, due to that they STOP after 2 weeks of breastfeeding. Thank goodness I've got a stronger heart.
MADELA Electric / battery operated Breast Pump
This is a Superb pump.
Thanks to one of our handfuls friends that breastfeed.... Joan. She too was breastfeeding her children for 2 years each. And yeah, she is so supportive. She loan me her electric Madela pump and also hand-me-down her manual Madela pump. That was SUPERB.
Though the electric pump was for a short stint, lucky me at that time there were soo many people around me that just had kids.
Krystle help me to get aunty Liza's Madela pump for me since she stops breastfeeding. And i used it ever since.
Accessories ...
You can get all the accessories / parts of the pump from the Baby product shop in the CURVE opposite of Mothercare (never remenber their shop name. Only that they have a wide range of baby car sit, stroller, cots, & toys). So to mothers who fear that they might break the nozel or any part of the pump, NO worries, they can get it in the shop. And the price is very reasonable too.

I've heard of great things bout their pump... from friends and of course NON other than Chris with all his constant Market Research ...
They have a patented massage studs to the cup of the pump to help better stimulate milk and it works good.
Yeah, since then... i was on my way to Journey-breastfeeding.
It is the MOST fulfilled and amazing experience. What more safer than knowing and having in controlled of your most precious baby's consumption. Just so as long we are eating well, healthy, NO caffeine, No Boost for as long as you breastfeed.
But i guess that is just a small price to pay for your baby's life long strong Immune system.
NOTE ... to all mothers out there, do BREASTFEED.
