Kiersten was getting excited about Christian learning how to walk. She can't wait to run with him in the park playing hide & seek or TAG.
Over the weekend while we were about to go out to the park ... che-che immediately help Christain to wear his shoe thinking he would be able to walk with her already ... *sweet*

Princess Kiersten ... or she thinks so :)
I OBVIOUSLY detest on buying this dress ... but i have to give in to her liking nevertheless :( Kiersten loves this dress to bits! She would wear this EVERYDAY if she could. Thanks to 'Snow White'! (Her favourite princess)
Maria will deliberately wash it and make sure Kiersten gets to wear it when she is back from school everyday. Damn the material ... super cepat dry even on a rainy weather like current :( I only allows her to wear it back home and whilst i'm out working. But i got home slightly earlier last week and caught her in it for the very first time. I got a shock and at the same time .... must capture it for herself to see when she is all grown up ... hehehe ...
Hopefully she will have a different fashion taste by then ... GOD please have MERCY!!!
***Which fashion designer on earth would have created this dresses! Must be CHINA! No offense but rather a personal preferrence ...

Kiersten's Sunday Lunch!
I love cooking & baking. I love it coz i fine it very therapeutic and i'm in a world of my own and am in-charged of it! And I do cook regularly on every weekends and also plan for Kiersten's & Christian's daily meals (except that Maria help me to execute it ... and i must say she is a very good cook too. At times she will improvised from my recipes ... very sedap pulak tu!), our daily breakie, my MIL's extra request for Church gathering ... so much of multi-tasking right ... well that's why Mother's Day is so well celebrated lar!
Here is one of Kiersten's & Dada's favourite quick fix on a lazy weekend:
Also a one pot 'kau-tim-sai' style ... Estimated cooking time is 15mins
Pot Pie
Ingredients (for 2 servings):
a) Pastry Crust slice - bought it from the frozen dept in any regular supermarket ... easy peasy :)
b) Chicken Breast - 2 pcs
c) Bacon Back - 100 gm
d) Carrot - 1 stick
e) Broccoli - 500 gm
f) Bombay Onion - 2 Big Onions (i'm big on Bombay onion ... it sweetened food naturally)
g) Campbell White Cream - 1 Can
h) Water - 9 oz
Pre-Cooking:
+ Cut Chicken Breast into small cubes
+ Mince Back Bacon
+ Mince Carrot into tiny-winy size
+ Cut Broccoli into tiny-winy size
+ Cut Bombay Onions into small cubes
Cooking:
+ Heat up a non-stick heavy-bottomed pan
+ Pour 2 'Circles' of Olive Oil into the non-stick heavy-bottomed pan
+ Once Pan is heated up, pour in Bombay Onions to stir fry for a minute
+ Add in Carrot, stir fry for another minute
+ Add in Broccoli, stir fry for another minute
+ Last, when it's superbly fragrant, pour in the Chicken Breast
+ Continue to stir fry until chicken is slight brown and cooked
+ Add in Bacon to stir for another minute
+ Pour in Campbell White Cream
+ Add Water (you may not want to pour 9 oz of water in ... gauge the texture since it's personal preference)
+ Stir well
+ Simmer till boil
+ Pour everything from pot to Oven safe bowls
*Place pastry out for 1 min before hand
*Cut Pastry to bowl shape / size (leave additional 1 inch for sides to be folded down to make the super crunchy edge)
+ Place Pastry Crust Slice on top of bowl ... press the sides down firmly ... but leaving it slightly loose in the centre portion for puffing
+ Use a Fork to poke a few holes to release hot air in order to puff up
+ You can use the fork and press the top edges slightly to create patterns too!
Have fun with this!

Christian enjoying lunch!
Hmmm ... deliciously yummy! See the super duper contented face :)
Well, as you know Christian is BIG on food. He takes his regular breakfast, lunch, tea break, dinner, supper (milk only lar) everyday!
This is one of the lunch menu:
1 pot 'Kau Tim Sai' ... in a way ...
Dish 1
Puree ... Corn + Cauliflower + Cabbage + bombay onion (good source of Vit C, especially with such H1N1 season)
Ingredients (for 2 servings):
a) 1 healthy looking Corn (Scrape out Corn kennel only)
b) 500 gm of Cauliflower
c) 500 gm of Cabbage
d) 1 huge Bombay Onion
e) 1-2 oz of white rice (i'm not big on rice though)
Pre-cooking:
+ Rinse white rice (i rinse it twice only since the whitey element of rice are suppose to be the source of minerals)
+ Simmer Corn, Cauliflower, Cabbage in a clean tub with a pinch of salt & water enough to cover the vegetables (to omit chemicals & stuff from vege) - for 3 mins only & not more (or else all minerals will be down into the water :P)
+ Cut & Dice items (a) - (d) in any size
Cooking:
+ Place ALL ingredients into the rice cooker + drinking water filled up to half the pot
+ 'Click' on to leave it to cook ... whilst you enjoy your time with your baby
* You may gauge for more water if your pot is bigger OR you prefer it more liquify
+ When cooked, place everything from rice cooker (except the rice) to food mixer (i prefer Molinex food mixer coz the regular blender gives a coarser texture)
*Blend ingredients - mode of texture ... personal preference and also baby's chewing ability
+ Store Puree (8oz) with cooked rice (1oz) into a 9oz milk bottle jar (store in Refrigerator - for dinner. Warm it in a food warmer prior dinner)
Dish 2
Soup
Soup is BIG in the family especially me being 'ngo hai Kong Fu Yen' / Cantonese :)
Any regular home made soup is fine. Mine is usually boiled with chicken breast only with no seasoning eg. salt (for adult you may have some salt separately though)
Dish 3
Steam Cod Fish + Shitake Mushroom + Spring onion
Ingredients (1 Serving - For fish, i advice to cook it fresh for each serving):
a) 1 small palm size Cod fish (debone & take away skin .. for my case Kiersten will eat it since she treats it as 'Jelly' due to the texture)
b) 1 small shitake mushroom (as flavoring)
c) 100 gm of spring onion (as flavoring)
Pre-Cooking:
+ Clean fish, Shitake mushroom (simmer in plain water for 5 mins) & Spring onion (rinse)
Cooking:
+ Place ALL ingredients into a corning ware
+ Add 3 Drops of Virging Olive Oil
+ Steam for 7mins in a Wok filled with water
+ Mash up the fish prior to serving
*check for fine bones constantly during feed. I usually avoid serving the mushroom to Christian incase of indigestion)
End Result
+ A super contented baby having his / her food :)
+ My result with Christian ... he finishes the 9 oz of Puree + Whole Fish + 3/4 bowl of soup :)
Ratings:
***** (5 star lor ... have to use asterix as substitute coz got no STAR symbol lar)
Have fun trying ... Well, ALL recipes are meant to be altered to personal preference ... so be adventures .. your baby will love the craziee texture & tatse of it. A sure definite of spicing up their taste bud. Will share more soon!
