Weekend in Teluk Intan .. oh what FUN!

8:00am Nature walk around the neighbourhood.
Activity: Get closer to mother-nature eg. chase some birds and chicken along the walk (well to say 'HI!", but unfortunately scare them off), pick up flowers n leaves to know of the different texture, colours, etc. and last ... bump into a kid with only nappy on standing outside by himself (see how safe TI is!). Kiersten & Christian love it!

8:30am Feed the mummy dog (a stray). My mum, a definite dog lover ... purposely prepare breakie (proper dog biscuit), lunch & dinner (sometimes bought / home cooked, steamed chicken rice) for the strays around the neighbourhood as usual. And Kiersten will always help her out whenever she is there. Well, newspaper and mug may not be the most ideal utensil to serve food with, but this is to avoid stealing whenever the dogs are unattended during the feeds.

10:00am Breakie time in a nearby Kopitiam for super yummy curry noodle & wantan mee (Kiersten claims it is better than KL ones) She will finish the entire plate herself. And Christian loves the lightly toasted bread with kaya (and since he is big on food, he will also finish-up the bread himself).

11:00am Visited Assumption Church. Kiersten was behaving very well when she was in and even sat at the pew for a prayer. She walks around the churh and started asking about the 'station of the Cross' & why the baddy is making Jesus carry the Cross, why Jesus falls, over & over & over again like a broken record. Well, mummie repeatedly answer her ... also like a broken record (well it is mama's bedtime story to her). The Church visit is also to let her know this was where mummie used to study during Kindi days!

11:30am Visited mummie's Secondary School.

With her usual friendly charm, she found a new friend already. Kids are just barrier free :)

8:00pm After dinner, got back home and Kiersten was musing around with Dada. Basically ice-cream making. Yup, the ice-cream is attachable & detachable for creative mix-up!

Sun 11:00am Visited the infamous TI 'LEANING' Clock Tower. Kiersten was sitting down and checking out the height of the tower from a bird's eye view.

And as usual, Christian will crawl around to wonder & explore. See how much he enjoys it!

Exploring & walking up the steep spiral stairs of the tower. Not easy stint especially with kids and fragile wooden stairs railings. Not so scary lar ... just have to be extra careful.

More exploration

This pix sums up our typical visit back to my hometown, visiting my parents, whilst immersing ourselves into food, and exploration for the kids. REALLY FUN WEEKEND FOR ALL!!!

Christian is GROWING!

Christian adores his cheh-cheh ... and she is the first one in the family he attempted to call-out to in fact ... even before dada n mummie (mummie will always be last since it is the most difficult i guess ... but what about cheh-cheh? ok, ok, not a case of jelousy here yeah :P)

Nyways, Christian's growth at 44 weeks old (he is only ONE month shy from his 1st Birthday!):
Linguistic
+ He can call cheh-cheh loud and clear
+ Call out to da-da .. loud and clear also
+ make sound of 'ggrrrr' ... which is for Dog
+ Calling out 'AArrrrrrr' super loud to call for attention
*Basically alot of 'sound' imitation ...

Motor Skills
+ Crawl to cheh-cheh's room to look for her in the morning
+ Crashing out all the books from cheh-cheh's book shelve (thank gudness Kiersten is cool about it)
+ Snatching toys from cheh-cheh (no fight yet except for some cry-out from cheh-cheh ... she is still kinda kind to little ti-ti)
+ Of course crawling around the house & parks too (this always get people starring at me as if i am a bad mum letting my boy going around on his own ... dirty and all and picking up stuff as he explores ... *BLEH* ..!
+ Try grabbing the kite during kite flying .. this is tiring ... basically me carrying him chasing the kite with cheh-cheh and da-da running around like goons being chased and with lots of screaming ... a family of 'orang gila' at the park *Hahahaha*
+ Swimming - Kick very well while on his float .. trying to chase cheh-cheh (hopefully he will be able to swim as well as cheh-cheh)
+ Love hide & seek ... just hide anything, anywhere, and he will go searching for it. Loves looking for cheh-cheh too!
+ Hold or rather grab his food ... no kidding ... he is very anxious and serious about his food :)
+ Standing up and walking around the house with aid eg. chairs
+ Climbing up the grill (aided of course .. in fact mama encourage it)
+ 'Pointer' pointing out when we sing out 'where is pointer?' song
+ Favourite song 'The wheels on the bus' ... he will push his hand forward showing sign of honking when 'the horn of the bus go honk-honk-honk!'
+ 'Twinkle-Twinkle little Star .. is his very first song with 'Twinkling' action to it
+ Pointer & thumbkin clipping indicating birds ... imitating their beak movement
+ Bit Wafle & Bo Bo if they are naughty or rather heard us saying they are 'naughty' :P

+ Food ... he will have his breakie, lunch, tea, dinner, and milk for supper too :) Yup ... he is BIG on FOOD!!!

* From the list ... sum it up .. he is less verbal and more action .. and deffinitely lurrrve food .. typical boy i guess ... :)

Princess, High Heels, Lipstick, etc

Well, Kiersten has certainly grown up super lot.
She is now soooo into 'Princesses' stories .. eg. 'Snow White' is currently her extreme favourite. During the day she will be watching the DVD and bedtime story will also be ..... yup, you guess it right ... 'Snow White'! Can you imagine the craze *eyes oogling*
Whenever she gets a chance to look into the mirror, she will recite .."Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who in the land is fairest of all?" ... 'ME! ME!' she will reply with excitement. She will also claim that her hair is ebony black, skin as fair as snow, and lips as red as rose *eyes oogle even harder*
